Urgent Call: American Heart Month 2025 to Combat Heart Disease

A National Pledge to Combat Heart Disease: American Heart Month 2025

Heart Disease Awareness is more crucial than ever as we usher in American Heart Month 2025. This annual observance serves as a poignant reminder of the devastating impact heart disease continues to have on countless families across the United States. As we reflect on the lives lost to this relentless condition, we are also inspired to renew our national commitment to eradicate it.

Progress in Cardiovascular Health

Thanks to significant advancements in medicine and technology, Americans today have unprecedented access to life-saving treatments. More importantly, there is a growing recognition of the role lifestyle changes play in preventing heart disease, enabling individuals to lead longer, healthier lives.

Despite these strides, the loss of even a single life to heart disease remains a profound tragedy. As President, I vow to work tirelessly to save lives, reduce healthcare costs, and build a healthier future for all citizens. Our administration is dedicated to advocating for policies that promote well-being and longevity.

Decisive Actions Against Heart Disease

The first step in tackling the heart disease crisis is taking decisive action to reduce the likelihood of diagnosis. This includes encouraging loved ones to abandon unhealthy habits. Research consistently identifies risk factors like obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, lack of physical activity, excessive alcohol consumption, and smoking. By making small, manageable changes to our daily routines, we can achieve remarkable, life-saving outcomes.

Moreover, my administration is committed to holding Big Pharma accountable and addressing the chronic disease epidemic. We are determined to investigate the underlying causes of the persistent rise in health issues, including obesity, autoimmune disorders, infertility, and autism. As Americans, we owe it to ourselves and our families to prioritize our health and cherish the gift of life to the fullest extent possible.

A Call to Action

As we observe American Heart Month, let us strive to enhance our health, extend our lives, and foster a culture, government, and nation that values life and safeguards the human heart. The ongoing battle against cardiovascular disease is of paramount importance. Congress, through a Joint Resolution approved on December 30, 1963, has called upon the President to issue an annual proclamation designating February as American Heart Month.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim February 2025 as American Heart Month. I invite all Americans to participate in National Wear Red Day on February 7, 2025. Additionally, I encourage the Governors of the States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, officials of other areas under U.S. jurisdiction, and the American people to join my Administration in reaffirming our commitment to combating heart disease in all its forms.
